Welcome to the Term 1, Week 2 Newsletter! 

This newsletter contains information on the following:

Important Dates

Friday 17th Feb: House Tabloid Sports (this involves all students)

Absences

If your child is going to be away from school, please inform the school prior to the event or in the case of sickness please ring the school office prior to 8:50am and leave a message on the school answer phone or use the school app to report an absence (information below).
Absences are checked against classroom lists and parents will be sent a message if we have not heard from you. Should a child be absent for more than one day please notify the school each morning unless you are able to tell us in advance of the length of time your child will be away. 

If your child is unwell or has any cold or flu symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny nose, please keep them at home until they are well.

School App

Our school app can be used to:
• View newsletters
• Provide absence information
• Access the school calendar
• Receive notifications about cancellations and other important information
To download the app, please go to the App-play store and search for Kiwi Schools connect.

Scholastic Book Club

We are doing Scholastic’s Book Club again this year. 
Once per term each student will receive a brochure for the book club to bring home. 
If you would like to order any of the books, this can be done online on LOOP.  For your first time you will need to register in order to make a Book Club LOOP login. 
We cannot take orders/payment via the Office so please order online.  Instructions are on the back of the brocure.  You will have approximately two weeks to place your order.

Once orders close, they will be sent to school and will come home with your child.
On all orders the school earns 15% in scholastic rewards which benefits our school library.

Emmanuel Christian School does not endorse all material that is available for purchase from Scholastic Book Club.  Please use your discernment when picking reading material for your child.

Issue 1 orders close: Thursday 23 February at 6pm.
If you didn’t receive a brochure, these are available on LOOP.

Lunch Orders

Lunches are available to order for Wednesdays and Thursdays during term time.  Orders must be placed by 8.30am.  At lunchtime the lunches will be at the Office for children to collect.
Please ensure you enter your child’s room number (or update this if they are in a new class).

The Sushi Factory is our lunch supplier on Wednesdays, with a menu selection that ensures healthy options and some treats are available.
The Sushi Factory supplies a large range of lunch options including sushi, rice balls, dumplings, teriyaki chicken on rice, sausage rolls, sandwiches, karaage chicken burgers, muffins, brownies and lots more.

Subway is our lunch supplier on Thursdays. The Subway menu includes 12 inch subs, 6 inch subs, salad bowls, cookies and chocolate milk.
