Important Dates

Friday 17th November – Canterbury Anniversary Day 

Monday 20th November – Teacher Only Day

Monday 11th December – End of year Prizegiving 

Friday 15th December – Last day of Term 4

Wednesday 31 January 2024: First day for students of 2024 School year

Attendance Dues 

As we approach the end of the year we want to remind you that all Attendance due accounts need to be paid prior to the end of the School year.  These attendance dues are a compulsary charge from the Emmanuel Proprietors Trust used to support providing the buildings we use as a School.

If your Attendance Dues Account is currently in ARREARS, you MUST URGENTLY contact the proprietor through the Principal so that we can assist you with a repayment programme.

Families who choose NOT to communicate with us will receive notification on 1 December 2023 informing you that your pupil’s enrolment at Emmanuel Christian School will CEASE at the end of the 2023 school year.

Attendance Dues are not a voluntary payment, rather families are legally required to pay these as part of enrolment at an integrated school.

Lost Property

Missing Guitar

A student who takes guitar lessons has had his guitar go missing.  It is a blue guitar in a black guitar bag. If the guitar is found, please hand it in at the Office.

2024 Planning

As we have been planning for 2024 we have been looking at the placement in classes.  As always this is a process of prayerfully considering what is going to be the best for each of the students and staff.  In 2024 there is going to be some changes to the year levels taught by some of the staff within Years 1-6.  We wanted to take the chance to let you all know of these.

In 2024 we will have teaching in:

• Years 0-2: Mrs Luke, Miss Kendrew, Miss Nicholson, Mrs Thomas and Mrs Carter
• Years 3-4: Mr Robb and Mrs van Mechgelen
• IYears 5-6: Mrs Collins and Mr Smith

Free Dental Care from Year 9 to your 18th Birthday

Free Period Products

We have free period products (feminine hygiene) available at school.  Most of the girls know where these are located in the sickbay (in the drawers) but if they don’t they can ask Mrs Brand or Mrs Morrison or a teacher.  They can help themselves to these products at any time.  Please remind your girls come and collect enough packs of product to last them the holidays.
