Primary Teacher (Years 1–6) – Permanent Position Emmanuel Christian School |Bishopdale, Christchurch

Start Date: Beginning of 2027

Emmanuel Christian School is a growing, state-integrated Christian school in Bishopdale, Christchurch, catering to Year 1–10 students. We offer a supportive, collaborative environment where our work is inspired by love (aroha), heartened by faith (whakapono) in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope (tūmanako).

We are seeking a passionate, permanent Primary Teacher to join our Year 1–6 team starting at the beginning of 2027.

• Effectively engaging with and teaching primary school students
• Contributing to the school’s academic progress and student achievement
• Relating well and being culturally responsive to a diverse range of students and staff

Special Character Requirements

A key condition of employment is the willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Christian Character of Emmanuel Christian School. You will actively promote a biblically informed, Christ-centred worldview, nurture students’ faith, and protect and enhance the school’s Christian character.
